Rotary Club Sarajevo continues this school year with the implementation of the Scholarship for Excellence Program, with the aim of providing support to talented and hardworking high school students who, through their work, successes and commitment, represent an example of excellence in the community. By providing scholarships to the most excellent students, we invest not only in their education, but also in creating generations of future philanthropists and Rotarians who will build a better society with their knowledge, leadership and humanity.
During the 2026/2027 school year. 12 excellent students are planned to receive scholarships, who will receive a monthly scholarship in the amount of 200 KM (102.26 EUR) during the 9 months of classes.
The total value of the scholarship program is 21,600 KM (11,043.85 EUR).
In addition to financial support, scholarship recipients will also have the opportunity to participate in the mentoring program this year, through which Rotary Club Sarajevo members will guide them professionally and personally, and will have the opportunity to participate in Interact activities and the joint implementation of socially useful and humanitarian projects. In this way, students acquire new knowledge, develop leadership skills, international friendships and actively contribute to their community.
The financial structure of the program envisages that Rotary Club Circo Massimo will provide 1,800 KM (921.00 EUR), Rotaract Club Sarajevo 100 KM (51.13 EUR), while approximately one third of the total value of the program, i.e. 7,200 KM (3,681.28 EUR), will be applied for through the Rotary District Grant (DG). The remaining funds will be provided by Rotary Club Sarajevo through its own fund-raising activities and donations from partners.
The implementation of this year's program is jointly supported by Rotary Club Circo Massimo, Rotary Club Sarajevo and Rotaract Club Sarajevo, confirming their commitment to investing in education, young leaders and the development of the local community.
